Graduating in 2000, Amanda has worked as a Paediatric Occupational Therapist in the major children’s hospitals at Melbourne (Royal Children’s Hospital), Sydney (Sydney Children’s Hospital) and London (Evelina Children’s Hospital, U.K).  During this time she has been lucky enough to work beside leading neurodevelopmental medical consultants, and is now able to bring a range of approaches to her work with children.  She has specialist experience assessing and working with children with developmental coordination disorder (DCD)/ dyspraxia, cerebral palsy, acquired brain injury/ brain tumors and children with global developmental delay. Amanda began her work in private practice working for Kiki’s Children’s Clinic in London, UK (www.kikisclinic.com), a specialist occupational therapy/ physiotherapy clinic attracting clients from all over England and Europe. She has worked extensively in schools and feels passionate about providing training for teachers and parents in the area of child development and integration for children with special needs.

Amanda’s varied experiences enable her to provide a specialist therapy service to a broad range of children.  She is thrilled to have set up Leapfrog Therapy Services and looks forward to continue growing the business over the coming years.

Sandra Wagner

Occupational Therapist

Sandra completed her Masters of Occupational Therapy at Nova Southeastern University (Florida) in 2003.  She first worked for a private practice in Southern California, contracting with schools to provide Occupational Therapy services both in the school and in the clinic settings.  Her caseload included children with a diagnosis on the Autism Spectrum, Dyspraxia/Developmental Coordination Disorder, Cerebral Palsy, Down’s Syndrome and learning difficulties.   After participating in a medical mission to Jamaica, Sandra felt that she needed to expand her knowledge and experience in the medical field and was part of the rehabilitation team at Children’s Hospital in Los Angeles.  She was able to acquire a well-rounded knowledge through treating children with neurologic, rheumatologic and orthopedic conditions.

Sandra is strongly inspired by her volunteer work with dolphins and children with disabilities at the Dolphin-Human Therapy in the Florida Keys.  Through these varied positions she has gained broad experience working with children and continues to seek new opportunities to expand her learning in the area of paediatrics.

Sandra believes in family-based practice, education and functional gains through therapy.
