Sandra Wagner
Occupational Therapist
Sandra completed her Masters of Occupational
Therapy at Nova
Southeastern University (Florida) in 2003. She first worked for
a private practice in Southern California, contracting with schools to provide Occupational
Therapy services both in the school and in the clinic settings. Her caseload
included children with a diagnosis on the Autism Spectrum, Dyspraxia/Developmental Coordination Disorder, Cerebral Palsy,
Down’s Syndrome and learning difficulties. After participating in a medical mission to Jamaica,
Sandra felt that she needed to expand her knowledge and experience in the medical field and was part of the rehabilitation
team at Children’s Hospital in Los Angeles. She was able to acquire a well-rounded knowledge through treating children with neurologic, rheumatologic
and orthopedic conditions.
Sandra is strongly inspired by her volunteer work with dolphins and children
with disabilities at the Dolphin-Human Therapy in the Florida Keys. Through these varied positions she has gained broad
experience working with children and continues to seek new opportunities to expand her learning in the area of paediatrics.
Sandra believes in family-based practice, education and
functional gains through therapy.
